Othodontics / Headache Connection

Patient’s pain problems started at age 17 years with conventional orthodontic treatment. Traditional mechanics of braces does not take into account the direct effect the forces created by the wires and elastics used have on the skull bones and dural membrane system within the skull. The above photograph was taken prior to any treament by Dr. Smith. Notice the distortion of the left eye — it is smaller and lower than the right. Also note the stressed look and lack of color to the skin. A jammed skull decreases blood flow to the skin, muscous membranes, gums and teeth. In addition, the narrowed upper dental arch directly affects breathing by closing the nasal passages. This patient was treated by 50 doctors during her ten years of pain.

This photograph was taken 24 hours after a cranial adjustment and the Advanced Lightwire appliance (ALF) was placed in the upper dental arch. The objective of the ALF appliance is to correct the distortion patterns created by the conventional orthodontic procedures. Within 24 hours there has been a dramatic change in the alignment of the skull bones and dural membrane system as exhibited by the changes in size and position of the patient’s left eye, color of the skin, position of the mouth in a horizontal plane and overall look of relaxation. The patient’s pain level was reduced by 80% in 24 hours. In addition the patient was able to speak and read in bed without pain. Craniodontics has more control of the neurology than any other specialty.

Patient sought pain relief over a 10-year period, from 50 different doctors without results. Fortunately, the 51st doctor was able to effect treatment resulting in the patient’s pain level reduction by 80% in 24 hours after her first visit.
