Neural Therapy resolves eight years of left shoulder range of motion restriction

Abner was a 24 year-old Amish male who injured his right arm and shoulder while assisting his father who was shoeing a mule. The mule kicked Abner in the left side of his forehead causing an 18 inch scar. When Abner was kicked he was thrown back and hit his right arm and should against a vertical support post. For eight years Abner could not raise his right arm above his shoulder height despite having treatment by chiropractors, orthopedic physicians, physical therapists, neurologists and osteopaths.

In 1995 I had just returned from Seattle where I was studying with one of my mentors, Dietrich Klinghardt, MD, PhD, and learned about Neural Therapy. Abner was my first patient on Monday morning. I suggested to Abner and his mother that Neural Therapy may solve Abner’s problem. They both consented to treatment. I injected 2% solution of procaine with no preservatives into the entire 18 inch scar in segments. After completion of treatment, I asked Abner if he could raise his right arm. To all of our amazement, Abner immediately raised his right arm up and he was able to touch the left side of his head. Eight years of restriction was erased in one Neural Therapy session.

The theory behind Neural Therapy is that the scar tissue entraps sympathetic fibers in the skin, which keep firing into the nervous system telling the body that the injured structure is still injured when in fact it was healed. The procaine injection broke up the scar tissue and erased the reflex firing into the nervous system. The patient had no release of restriction.
